The F4OR programme offers operators and suppliers in offshore wind the chance to engage and contribute to an initiative focussed on encouraging and supporting improved supply chain performance. The programme presents industry engagement opportunities to those already in industry whilst promoting cross-sector transfer of technologies.

TECOSIM is committed to supporting the renewable energy sector by actively investing and developing engineering solutions for issues which the sector faces.

With our position on the F4OR programme, TECOSIM UK are pleased to be able to maximise our efforts in connecting and engaging with the renewable energy sector as well as supporting the development of future technology, supported by industry experts. The programme’s focal point on driving business excellence is a vision we share and implement across our client base.

As the incredibly dynamic renewable energy sector grows and develops, at TECOSIM we are utilising numerical calculations and computer simulations to improve weather resistance in components, such as those found in wind turbines, alongside further developments of the durability and life cycles of renewable systems. Compared to traditional engineering methods, this computer-orientated approach allows us to keep ahead of the curve.

With the East of England generating almost 50% of the existing offshore wind output in the UK, TECOSIM have the infrastructure already in place to benefit this region through future technology innovation using our state-of-the-art applications, techniques and a highly skilled and knowledgeable team of engineers.

Funded by the New Anglia Local Enterprise Partnership, the F4OR New Anglia programme and its successful delivery has been a top priority as part of their Clean Growth Covid-19 Recovery Plan. Their aim is to boom local energy supply chains, fuel the growth in offshore renewables and stimulate supply chain mobility during this vital green economic recovery.

Our Managing Director, Stuart Hawker, said: “TECOSIM is committed to the development of low carbon technologies and is already working on electric and autonomous vehicles.

“The renewable energy sector is a big part of our future strategy and being involved in F4OR New Anglia means we are ideally situated to support the sector.”
