TECOSIM are pleased to have had the final closeout meeting of the intensive 6-week course, with key learnings relating to our position in the energy supply chain as well as an appreciation of the areas in which our capabilities could benefit other companies within the supply chain.

The programme has presented TECOSIM with enormous opportunities such as raising our profile within the market alongside a clearer understanding of where our services are best placed and targeted within the supply chain.

Our Commercial Lead, Janet Rix, said: “Our participation in the OWGP WEST program has been hugely beneficial for us as a company. What we do at TECOSIM saves so much, not only time in the development and designing of a product, but also costs – our services are extremely cost effective.”

“Our technologies can help companies within the supply chain to reduce development costs as well as save time in project delivery. We are now equipped with the knowledge of where our services sit within that supply chain, and where we need to target our services to make the most impact,” she continued.

TECOSIM were awarded a place on the WEST scheme, designed to support companies providing services to the offshore wind industry, back in 2020. One of over 30 organisations chosen for the program, the scheme was designed to encourage the growth of new and existing offshore wind supply chain companies through needs-focussed expert business support.

With £200,000 of funding allocated to support the selection of organisations chosen for the OWGP WEST programme, the programme sought to support the companies with bespoke and targeted specialist advice in order to foster growth in UK offshore wind.
